The Walbro monoplane was the first all-British aircraft. It was constructed of steel tubing and designed and built by brothers Horace and Perry Wallis. (these were the Father and Uncle of the famous autogyro designer, the late Ken Wallis) This aircraft was displayed on loan at Flixton but has now moved into the Shuttleworth Collection hangar. It was temporarily withdrawn from use as long ago as 2001 but its appearance at Shuttleworth gives a hope that it might fly again This photo is copyright © Mick Bajcar, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
