Negative from FNG archive. 448 C-124 of all models were delivered from 1950 and the last example was not phased out until 1974. 20958 was taken on charge in 1952 and retired to MASDC 1969. Berlin policeman attending the first international Music and Sports Show at Nuremberg were flown in by the Globemaster II which almost dwarfed the airport buildings while Austrian motorcycle police formed a guard of honour.
