The lettering on the fin says that it was an S-1S but it was officially registered as an S-1E. Tragically this aircraft was destroyed and the pilot killed when on 25th July 1997 it stalled, spun and crashed during initial climb-out from Meppershall Airfield, Bedfordshire.
