NC13380 was the first aircraft built in a post-World War II attempt to relaunch the Rearwin Skyranger by Commonwealth Aircraft (not the Australian manufacturer). Commonwealth had bought Rearwin and moved the factory from Kansas to New York. The aircraft struggled against the supply of of war surplus aircraft and Commonwealth went bankrupt. NC13380 remained registered until 2016. Photo by: Rudy Arnold / Smithsonian Institution This photo was added on 3 June 2023, and has since been viewed 403 times. |
