This was the sole Menasco M-50 powered Aeronca 50. A deal between Menasco and Aeronca broke down after 10 engines were delivered which were fitted KM Chiefs (nine built). NC21070 was later fitted with a Continental A-50 and redesignated Aeronca 50C. Preserved at the New England Air Museum, Windsor Locks, Connecticut.
