Pakalakala is the Hawaiian name for the gray-backed tern, a charming bird endemic to the Central Pacific. This aircraft was retired by Hawaiian in September 2015 and went on to fly with Air Canada Rouge as C-FIYA until March 2020. It started a new life as a freighter with SF Airlines of China as B-223D in February 2023.
