In 1970, Transair bought BEA - British European Airways remaining four Armstrong Whitworth Argosy freighter aircraft. CF-TAX registered April 4, 1970 would be the last Argosy in Canada when sold to SOACO (Societe Anonyme de Contruction) in November 1976 as TR-LWQ. Stored in February 1978 at Essendon Airport in Melbourne, Australia , it was sold to IPEC Aviation as VH-IPA by that summer.
