On the 9th November 2018 the airplane departed Georgetown-Cheddi Jagan Airport on an international flight to Toronto-Lester Bowles Pearson Airport, carrying 120 passengers and 8 crew members. At 0222LT, while climbing to 21,000 feet, the crew encountered technical problems with the hydraulic systems. After a circuit and a holding pattern to burn fuel, their final approach was for runway runway 06. After touchdown, the airplane was unable to stop and veered off the runway. It broke its right main gear and the right engine was torn off. This photo is copyright © TavoCruz, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
