Seen parked on the South Terminal ramp at Vancouver International Airport, Piper Aztec C-GQOL was operated by Aquila Air on short haul commuter flights serving Vancouver and Vancouver Island between April 1984 and May 1991. The commuter airline was based at Qualicum Beach Airport. The company operated 23 different light aircraft in the 1980s and early 1990s including 15 single-engine Cessna models and eight twin-engine aircraft, including two Cessna 402s and five PA-23-250 Aztecs which were better suited for overwater flights.
