Finland's new fighter on display at the SILI aero exhibition. Despite its obvious limitations, the Fokker D.21 or D.XXI was a sharp aircraft with a low power loading. Its mixed construction enabled licence production in Finland and Denmark. Finland placed a launch order in 1936 even though the D.21 had been rejected initially by the Netherlands army air arm.
