Attack squadron 1/22 'Ain' was based at Fort Lamy (now N'Djamena) in Chad with Skyraiders from 1969 till 1975. The Armée de l'Air unit was then replaced by six aircraft flown by French mercenary pilots, including this airframe. The badge on the nose does not seem to have been used by ELAA / EAA 1/22 'Ain'.
