The sixth prototype of the Z-37 and was delivered in July, 1965 ( to what?) later being registered OK-UJE with flight testing carried out in the USSR. In August 1967 it was transferred to the Aviation Research Institute (VZLÚ) in Prague but sometime in 1968 was damaged by a hurricane but rebuilt using parts (wings, center plane, engine) from Z-37 cn 007, OK-UJC. It made its last flight in June, 1974, completing just over 477 hours and 2514 take-offs. It was transferred to VHÚ (Kbely museum parent organisation) in January 1975 and has been on loan to this fire-fighting museum since April 2011. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
