This Eagle was visiting Soesterberg from its homebase Keflavik (Iceland). The F-15C was delivered to the USAF on 16 Apr'82 and first served the 94th TFS from Langley AFB (VA) before it was transferred to Kef. The 57th was disbanded and this 047 was the last Eagle to leave Kef on 1 Oct'94. Moved to Eglin AFB (FL) with the 85th TES and later the 422nd TES (both 'OT'). The Eagle was almost written off on 24 Oct'02 when one engine ran out of oil. After repair it was moved to the 57th Wing at Nellis ('WA'), and later to the 114th FS of the Oregon ANG.
