One of many C-47s that ended their days at Ryan Field in the 1970s. Last operated by the 1360th Military Air Transport Squadron, McCoy AFB, FL. and withdrawn to Davis Monthan in June 1960. Disposed of for reclamation in March 1961, bought by Aero American Aircraft Parts and and registered as N87632 but stored at Ryan Field by 1972 and still present there until 1977. The civil registration was never carried and it was cancelled from the register in 1979 This photo was added on 25 August 2023, and has since been viewed 304 times. |
