The name Mangusta (Mongoose) was a commercial gimmick to suggest the ability to beat the Cobra, the name of both the animal and the competing helicopter at the time the A-129 was developed. This example served from October 2004 to June 2018 with the 3rd Army Aviation Support Regiment "Aquila"at Bergamo - Orio al Serio (LIME / BGY). The helicopter came to Volandia in 2019.
