This Alouette III was delivered to the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force) with serial A-399 in 1966. It was sold to Malta on 24 September 1996 and delivered to the Malta Air Squadron/2nd Regiment on 5 October 1996 in its original KLu camouflage scheme. It became 9H-ADB, reserialled to AS9618 on 1 May 2000. The Alouette III was withdrawn from use due to high flight hours and relative high maintenance costs.
