This aircraft had a convoluted history; it was originally built by Beech as AT-11 Kansan 43-10378, re-manufactured by them in 1954 as C-45H 52-10899 and after military service was used by NASA as N9524Z. In 1966 it was converted by PacAero at Burbank as single-fin Tradewind N992BP for the Ballenger Paving of Greenville, SC., and re-registered N922BC to reflect the name change to Ballenger Corp. in 1972. After a number of other private owners it was finally struck-off the US register in March 1989. (Thanks to Geoff Goodall's excellent online Beech 18 production list for much of the above).
