An altiport is defined as a small mountain airport with a sloped runway. LFHM is at an elevation of 1472 m (4830 ft) and has a runway of 434 m (1424 ft) with a 7% slope. The Jodel D.140, F-BOPG, is parked but take-off runs commence just to its left, with some pilots using every inch of concrete and even the grass verge.
