The Scottish Aviation company demonstrator and weapons trials Bulldog seen taxiing for takeoff from Prestwick's Runway 31. As part of the promotion of the type as a primary trainer with multi-role flexibility including weapons training and light strike, by 1978 it had been repainted into two-tone brown military camouflage which it retained at least into 1980. It was first displayed in these colours at Farnborough International in September 1978 and, with the addition of the show number 233, at the June 1979 Paris Air Show. Still current with a private group at Prestwick. This photo is copyright © David A. Montgomery, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
