This DC-10 was originally delivered to KLM in February 1973. The plane went on to be operated by many airlines and was well-travelled during its commercial service. It had two different spells with Ghana Airways; the first from May 1996 until May 2000 and then from June 2000 until the plane was impounded at Rome (FCO) due to non-payment of fees. The plane gradually deteriorated until it was scrapped in 2006.
