This DC-10 was originally delivered to National in June 1973 and then became incorporated into Pan Am in January 1980. The plane joined American in February 1984 but the plane was damaged beyond repair at Dallas (DFW) in April 1993 when it drifted off the runway after landing causing the undercarriage to collapse.
