This T-43 was taken on charge by the USAF in March 1974 as 72-0287 and used for navigation training. In March 1994 it joined EG&G and flew on the Area 51 shuttle until retirement in January 2009 and storage at AMARC. EG&G ceased operations at the end of that year, and all services were taken over by the Department of the Air Force. This particular aircraft remained in storage and was scrapped in May 2016.
