This Hind was originally 547 with the NVA but became 9639 after German re-unification. It was assigned the serial 9832 when it was transferred to Manching and made its last flight in March 1994. Ownership was then handed over to the Militärhistorisches Museum der Bundeswehr (Museum of German Military History) and it was dismantled and transported by road to the Cottbus Flugplatzmuseum on loan. This loan period has now ended and the Hind is ow on display in the museum grounds in Dresden. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
