A good-looking aircraft developed by aeronautical students of the Technical University of Munich (TUM), named Schlacro for Schlepp (towing) and acrobatic flying as the designers reckoned that requirements for both activities were similar. Construction began in 1985. The intended Porsche PFM 3200 engine was cancelled and the Mü 30 only made its first flight in 2000, powered by a Lycoming O-540 instead.
