On 25th April 2009 the aircraft was landing in a crosswind at Eddsfield Airfield, East Yorkshire, and the left wing rose after touchdown. During the pilot's attempt to correct this, the aircraft became airborne again and at the point of the second touchdown there was insufficient distance remaining to go around or to stop, resulting in the aircraft incurring damage to wings, canopy and propeller when it hit a hedge at the end of the runway. (Thanks to the AAIB report). The aircraft was cancelled from the register as permanently withdrawn from use on 18th February 2011.
