Built as an F-18C and first flown in late 1996. Delivered to the Ilmavoimat in early 1997 and assigned to KoeLtue. Later moved to HävLLv 21 (as pictured). The Hornet also served HävLLv 31 and 21, was modified in a Mid-Life Update (MLU2) which was finished by late 2016. It was then redesignated into F/A-18C.
