From my late fathers collection. He was a pilot on 219 Squadron at the time of the photo, and could well be flying one of these aircraft. There are nine aircraft in this shot. 219 Squadron were based at Driffield in Yorkshire. The squadron was disbanded for the final time on 31 July 1957. The squadron badge was a Death's head Hawk Moth. WL853 was delivered to the RAF on 01 Feb 1954 and typically for aircraft of the time had a short life as it was sold for scrap at 27 MU Shawbury on 29 Jan 1959.
