One of three Fw 200s ordered in early 1939 by Dai Nippon Kabushiki Kaisha (Japan - Manchuria Aviation Company). Not delivered and used 'briefly' by Lufthansa, then to KG 40 of the Luftwaffe. Destroyed by the RAF at Bordeaux - Mérignac on 13 April 1941, so the 1940 dating of this photo is probably accurate.
