Brazil ordered 60 Meteor F.8s and 10 two seat Meteor T.7s in 1952, the first entering service the following year. Operating with 1°/1°GAvCa and 2°/1°GAvCa at Santa Cruz and 1°/14° GAV at Canaos, most were withdrawn by 1968 but the type finally bowed out in 1971. 4452 has been displayed outside CINDACTA 11, Air Traffic Control Centre at Bacacheri since the late 1980s.
