This aircraft was destroyed when, after an aborted takeoff, it ran off runway and caught fire at Balad AB, Iraq, on November 12th 2008; the pilot escaped but the aircraft was burnt out. The cause of the accident was catastrophic destruction of the engine when second stage turbine disk fan failed due to an unrecognized sub-surface crack.
