RAF Halton Open Day 1978. 1 SoTT - 1 School of Technical Training. The B(I)8 was an interdictor bomber and one of the nicest looking Canberra's with its offset fighter canopy similar to the PR9. This one is still in the markings of 16 Squadron with 'The Saint' on the tail. It has also got a sharks mouth nose. Delivered to the RAF as XM271 on 28 Jan 1959. Retired to Halton for ground instruction as 8204M on 06 Feb 1974. Later to PEE Shoeburyness for us as a target. Scrapped during Apr 1991.
