SP-LAE left the LOT fleet in September 1983 and returned to the USSR as CCCP-86708. It then served with Aeroflot and later KrasAir until retirement in 2002. It was subsequently moved to a lake near Krasnoyarsk, where it was present for a number of years before being broken up in July 2008.
