Photographer: Clive Head. K64 slide scan. Built 1958 as G-AOYN for BEA. Cambrian 1971, merged into British Airways 1974. BAF 1981, leased to Capital Airlines suummer 1989. Renamed British World 1993, converted to freighter 1994 as G-OPAS operating for Royal Mail Parcelforce. Withdrawn Southend 1996 and scrapped the following year, cockpit section preserved at Bournemouth. BAF regularly experimented with livery changes adopting script titles in 1990. "BAF" tail titling was replaced by an outline unicorn logo as next step, which was filled in later. This photo was added on 23 December 2023, and has since been viewed 270 times. |
