Visiting on the main operational ramp at DM. From VMA-124 'Checkerboards" This was a USMC reserve squadron which was decommissioned on 19 Jun 1999. The squadron was the first Marine squadron to fly the F4U Corsair. This aircraft was originally designated as an A4D-5. Crashed on take off at NAS Memphis, TN on 18 Sep 1983. Also in the picture are 149651 c/n 12976 and 151087 c/n 13257.
