Operated by the Confederate Air Force. Delivered to the USAAF as a B-17G 44-83514 on 13 Mar 1945. Later converted to a RB-17G, SB-17G, DB-17G and DB-17P. Retired to Davis Monthan on 29 Jan 1959. To ACME Aircraft Parts on 31 Jul 1959 and later registered to N9323Z. To Western Air Industries in Nov 1960 and converted to a fire tanker. In 1977 restored as a warbird in B-17G configuration and joined the Confederate Air Force on 17 Jan 1978. From 1981 to 1985 fully restored with bomb bay doors and turrets amongst other things.
