Excellent photo of this PT-19 which must have been a rare bird in Europe in 1945. 42-2923 was damaged while still in use as a trainer at Garner Field, Texas, in late July 1944, but was subsequently assigned to the US embassy in London. It crashed on 29 June 1946 at Exeter, Devon. What is that thing between the cockpits - a camera mount?
