One of the B-17s converted to airliners in Sweden, photographed perhaps in September 1945 - the photo was found among pictures of the American aircraft exhibition at Kastrup. Supposedly SE-BAN was only registered on 10 October 1945, but one source says 10 September 1945. The aircraft does not yet wear SILA Swedish Air Lines markings. Sister aircraft SE-BAK flew the first Stockholm - New York service in late June 1945. Photo from: Vejle Stadsarkiv This photo was added on 7 January 2024, and has since been viewed 397 times. |
