AMC started to have all C-5A/B/C converted in 1998, this airframe 50004 was the first to be completed. Upgrade consisted of 4x new GE CF6-80C2 engines, new pylons, auxiliary power units, and upgrades to aircraft skin / frame, landing gear, cockpit and pressurisation systems.
