First flown in 1936 or 1937, the sole D-29 was built as a testbed for wing slats and split flaps. Fitted with T-tail to reduce downwash effects from these high-lift devices. Location not certain but this looks like a view from the north side of EDES. This photo was added on 9 February 2024, and has since been viewed 661 times. |
