This shot gives some idea of the size of the truely cavernous halls that comprise the National Museum of the USAF as even a B-52 is dwarfed. This B-52 is a Vietnam veteran and was severely damaged by an enemy surface-to-air missile on 9th April, 1972. It arrived for display in Nov. 1978. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
