Goodyear began to design small light amphibian aircaft in the 1940s. Only one example of the final design, the GA-22A Drake, was built and used for company business and demonstrations at many airports around the country. It remained based in Akron for its entire career and, after retirement, Goodyear donated the frame to the EAA Airventure Museum. In 2010 it returned 'home' for restoration and is now on display at the MAPS Air Museum. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
