Departing from Runway 31 at Prestwick after arriving the previous day as VDA4106. Impounded at Toronto Pearson Airport, Canada, hours after landing on 27 February 2022 as a result of sanctions imposed on Russia following its invasion of Ukraine. Subsequently formally seized by the Canadian Government as a Russian resource for redistribution to the benefit of Ukraine. By early 2024, legal action had been put in train by Volga-Dnepr to try to recover the aircraft still on the ground at Toronto. This photo is copyright © David A.
