Moored at its Lake Hood base in early morning sunshine. Carries the Bush Pilots Air Service logo on its fin. In an unusual modification from the late 1980s, it has been given both an oblong window and a porthole window aft of the fuselage door. The porthole widow was later removed. Delivered new to the US Army in 1957 as 56-0388. Its military career included service in the Belgian Congo with the United Nations Air Wing No. 3 Squadron. From 2006 operated out of Fairbanks as Marina Air. In 2016 reregistered as N11YA to Heather J. Fox of Bettles, Alaska. This photo is copyright © David A.
