When the dust of WWII settled, this was one of only two surviving Junkers Ju 88s. Note the familiar BMW logo on the BMW 801 engines, and the antenna forest on the nose of this early Ju-88R night fighter. It was flown to RAF Dyce in Scotland on 9 May 1943 by its defecting pilots, who were probably British agents. The capture of its Lichtenstein radar was of great interest to Allied intelligence.
