VH-CSW was registered from July 1970 until it was reregistered VH-IDU in 2001. In 1987 it was converted to a 47G-3B-1 standard. Wales Bank (short for Bank of New South Wales, now Westpac) sponsored the helicopter for surf lifesaving while 2SM written on the fuel tank is a Sydney radio station.
