This F-5A was originally delivered to the Imperial Iranian Air Force. After its service with the IIAF ended, the aicraft went to the Royal Jordanian Air force with serial '842'. In the 1980s (possibly 1983), the aircraft went to its next and final stop, the Hellenic Air Force, where it regained its original US serial (68-9053). Shortly before this photo was taken, the aircraft had been nicely restored and repainted.
