The aircraft was withdrawn from RAF service in March 1969 and sent to No 1 School of Technical Training, (SoTT), at RAF Halton for use as an engineering instructional airframe and allocated the maintenance serial no. 8080M. It was one of a number of airframes declared surplus and put out for disposal in the early 1990s when the SoTT moved to RAF Cosford. The fuselage was last reported stored on private premises near Chesterfield, Staffs., and it can be seen on Google Maps at 53.277397, -1.438493.
