This jet is believed to be owned by Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska. He is a billionaire and former president of the aluminum giant Rusal. He was sanctioned by the U.S. in 2018 and by the U.K. in 2022, following Russia's full-scale invasion in Ukraine. Despite these sanctions he manged to obtain this airplane. The Moscow-based firm Arsenal bought the Falcon 7X from the Kazakh carrier Irtysh-Air and imported it to Russia in February 2023. Arsenal is a company linked to Deripaska.
