Delivered to the US Navy as UF-1 137904 in 1954. Redesignated as an HU-16D in 1962. To the National Museum of Naval Aviation at Pensacola in 1977 then to Grumman as N8523H in 1981 and stored at St. Augustine. Refurbished and sold in 1989. Cancelled as exported to Mexico in 1992 but not registered there. On a list of abandoned aircraft at Aeropuerto de Tepicnay in 2008.
