The success of the early Voodoos led to the decision to create a two-seat all-weather interceptor version, the F-101B first flying in 1957. It began equipping squadrons of the Air Defense Command in 1959 and continued to fly with the Air National Guard until September 1982. This one is displayed as it was in 1972 with the 136th FIS, NY ANG, Niagara Falls Airport where the squadron performed 24 hour NOARAD alert.
